WED'11
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the 5th of June, Filmbooth is set to roll out WED”11, a festival unlike any.
WED’11 will play out short films and short documentaries juxtaposed with crisp 10-min talks by eminent personalities, all films & talks being related to various issues of environment, sustainability and climate change.
The aim is not to create an atmosphere of impending doom, launch a critique of humanity or to make each one of us an unwilling crusader. The aim rather is to pack in the most interesting films and stories within an evening and leave you with simple yet impactful thoughts. This is a place where entertainment meets meaning; where issues meet humor.
The bouquet of national and international award winning short films and documentaries on show includes a Green Oscar winning short–doc by Mike Pandey. Talks will be conducted by Rahul Ram, Vimlendu Jha, Bahar Dutt and Jatin Singh – sharing their perspectives as artists and activists; as wildlife experts and as environmental entrepreneurs.
At WED ’11 we won’t preach or bind you to a pledge or a promise. We will only try and plant a seed; a sapling which hopefully will take root in your minds and will help you in taking the ‘first step’.
